IS Counter-Strike Crossplay? Check Our CS2 Cross-Platform Guide

First, you should know what crossplay means. Crossplay lets gamers on one platform play with and against gamers on other platforms. For example, you could play on your PC with a friend who is playing on their Xbox. People want to play games with their friends more often, and the gaming world is changing to accommodate this. This is driving the demand for crossplay.

You could play the first Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, macOS, and Linux. But CS2 doesn’t have a lot of cross-play because Valve doesn’t back the console versions of the newer game. After all, they think PC players will enjoy it more. In other words, people who use Microsoft Windows can play online with people who use Steam on Mac OS and Linux.

Cross-platform isn’t available yet, which means that PC players can’t play with or against Xbox or Playstation players who are still using the old version of CSGO. Additionally, CS2 does not support cross-generation gameplay or any kind of cross-progression. This means that the computer parts are pretty much useless.

PS4: Does CS2 exist? Xbox One: Is CS2 available? There are no plans for Valve to release CS2 on Xbox Series S/X or PlayStation 5. The game was not released on Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
