Pretty much everyone, from 4 to 74 years old, likes to pass the time by playing games on their phone or computer. While most serious gamers still prefer gaming consoles and PCs, Android smartphones also provide a fun gaming experience. While game designers have gotten good at making touchscreen controls work with their games, many games also work with Bluetooth game controller devices.
There’s no need to buy a Bluetooth controller if you already have a PS4. You could get the MOGA Hero Power or an 8Bitdo with a retro look. If you follow these steps, you’ll be able to use your PS4 controller to play games on your Android device in less than two minutes.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- To pair your PS4 controller, press and hold the PS and Share buttons at the same time. Turning on pairing mode will make a white light flash on the back of the controller.
- Get your Android phone or tablet and go to Settings > Bluetooth. Make sure that Bluetooth is on.
- Simply press “Scan for the new device.”
- If you want to connect the PS4 controller to your computer, tap Wireless Controller.
After connecting the PS4 controller to your phone or computer, you can play many of your favorite Android games with it. Most driving, flying, fighting, and side-scrolling games can be played with Bluetooth controllers. But if you like puzzle games, you might come up short. That should be different when Chromebooks get the Play Store later this year.
