You can find the rare Drow Studded Leather Armour in Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3 in the Underdark. This short guide tells you everything you need to know about what it is and how to get it.
Drow Studded Leather Armour
The Drow Studded Leather Armor piece in Baldur’s Gate 3 is good early-game gear for a Ranger or Rogue who likes to stay hidden. A +1 bonus to Stealth might not seem like much, but it’s very important for Rogue and Ranger players because it lets them attack from behind for more damage and then, ideally, hide again to do the same thing on their next turn. Later in the game, they’ll have better armor, but for now, the Drow Studded Leather Armour is a good piece that is easy to get once you find the Underdark.

How to Get Studded Leather Armor for Drow in Baldur’s Gate 3
When you go to the Underdark in Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3, you can get the Drow Studded Leather Armour. There is a well in the Blighted Village that leads to the Underdark. This is one of the fastest ways to get there. To find or see the well, your characters will have to pass a check. Going down into it will lead you to a network of caves and tunnels.
You’ll need to go west from the well’s bottom until you reach the Whispering Depths mark. There will be a deep chasm nearby. Then, either cast the Feather Fall spell or drink a Feather Fall potion. You’ll make it to the bottom of the Underdark safely. You may already know how to get to the Underdark – Selunite Outpost if you’ve been there before and used it to explore.
Of course, you can also use that to get pretty close to where the armor is. The place you’re looking for is west of both of those underground entrances. If you start in the chasm and land, face southwest, and if you start at the Selunite Outpost, face northwest.

How to Find the Chest
Inside a locked chest in a small, secret area behind a wall of spider webs is where you can find it. Use something hot to burn down the sticky web. A Fire Arrow or a simple Firebolt cantrip should work just fine. You’ll find some small items on the other side once you can get through, but the Heavy Chest is locked, and what you’re after.
To get it, you’ll need a character that has the Sleight of Hand skill. It takes 15 checks to open the box, so make sure you have Thieves’ Tools handy in case you can’t do it the first time. The Drow Studded Leather Armor is inside.
