Tencent, the Chinese gaming giant, is all set to launch a limited-access beta test for VALORANT Mobile on June 12, 2025.
This comes after months of anticipation from mobile gaming fans across China. The upcoming test version will include several exciting features such as new agents, fresh maps, a ranked mode, and a battle replay system.
Originally developed by Riot Games, a U.S.-based studio owned by Tencent, VALORANT first made waves in 2020 as a PC-exclusive tactical shooter.
The game quickly grew in popularity, becoming a major title in the global esports scene. VALORANT combines strategic 5v5 gunplay with unique “agent abilities,” offering a fresh twist on traditional first-person shooters.
Now, Tencent is bringing that action-packed experience to mobile users. According to the company, over 20 million pre-registrations have already been recorded across various platforms in China — a clear sign of just how much buzz the mobile version has generated.
The June 12 beta test will be closed and limited to select users, allowing Tencent and Riot Games to gather player feedback before the final version goes live.
This strategy is similar to how PUBG Mobile and other major games have done early testing before full-scale launches.
Tencent confirmed that the mobile version won’t just be a direct port of the PC version. Instead, it will feature mobile-optimized controls and several features designed to make gameplay smoother on touchscreens.
This includes auto-aim assistance, reduced recoil mechanics, and simplified HUD elements — all tuned specifically for smartphones.

Additionally, the mobile version will support a ranked mode, enabling competitive gameplay from the start. Players will also be able to replay previous matches, a new function that allows them to study tactics or simply relive clutch moments.
These additions suggest that Tencent is aiming not just to match the PC experience, but to deliver a full-featured game for the growing mobile gaming community.
Tencent also teased that exclusive mobile-only content may be released in the future, such as custom skins and limited-time game modes — although no official details have been confirmed yet.
As of now, the test will be available only in China, with no clear word on when it will expand globally. However, given Riot Games’ past global strategy with titles like League of Legends: Wild Rift, it is likely that a worldwide release could follow by the end of 2025 or early 2026.
The full version of VALORANT Mobile is expected to launch in November 2025, although this could change depending on feedback from the beta phase.
Tencent has mentioned that the main goal of this early access is to ensure smooth performance across devices and make sure the game feels right for mobile users.
