Konami to Host ‘Press Start’ Livestream on June 12 Featuring Metal Gear and Silent Hill f

Japanese game company Konami is back in the spotlight this week as it officially announced its upcoming summer showcase titled “Press Start.”

The livestream event will take place on Thursday, June 12, and will highlight major updates about two of its most-awaited titles — Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater and Silent Hill f. And that’s not all — fans can expect more surprises too.

This announcement follows a week packed with major gaming events. From PlayStation’s State of Play to Summer Game Fest and the 2025 Xbox Games Showcase, gamers have been treated to a variety of reveals.

Konami too joined the wave with fresh trailers for Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater and Silent Hill during these events. Now, the company is ready to take center stage with its 37-minute-long showcase.

What’s Konami Planning to Reveal?

The livestream, named Press Start, will go live across YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 3 PM CET on Thursday.

It’s confirmed that the show will focus heavily on Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater and Silent Hill f, but Konami has hinted at more announcements that are still under wraps.

This leaves plenty of room for speculation among fans and gaming communities. One of the strongest rumors is the reveal of a Born from a Wish DLC for the Silent Hill 2 remake.

While this wasn’t part of the original PlayStation 2 game, it was later added in extended versions, and many are hoping it’ll now return in the remake.

Another possibility people are buzzing about is an Xbox version of the Silent Hill f 2 remake. However, this is unlikely to be announced until the PS5’s one-year console exclusivity ends on October 8, 2025.

Could Castlevania or Bomberman Make a Comeback?

While the spotlight is clearly on Silent Hill and Metal Gear, there’s also talk about older Konami franchises making a comeback.

Fans are hoping for an update on the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection, which is currently only available on Nintendo Switch and Steam. Expanding it to more platforms could make it more accessible for fans.

Even more exciting is the rumor about a new Castlevania game. Earlier this year, reports surfaced suggesting a AAA Castlevania title might drop in 2025. If true, this could be the perfect surprise to close the Press Start event.

There’s also quiet chatter around a new Bomberman project, though nothing has been officially hinted at by Konami.

A Strong Lineup for the Second Half of 2025

Regardless of what’s revealed during the Press Start livestream, Konami already has a packed second-half schedule for 2025. Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater is set to launch on August 28, while Silent Hill f is expected shortly after on September 25.

With two major game launches and more potentially on the way, Konami seems ready to re-establish itself as one of the top players in the gaming world.

So, whether you’re a Silent Hill fan, a Metal Gear veteran, or just love game reveals, don’t miss the Press Start livestream on June 12.
