The second expansion pass for Age of Wonders 4 is starting today with the release of the Herald of Glory DLC. In total, four new DLCs are set to come out by mid-2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
The Herald of Glory DLC is available now, and the other three will be released over the next several months. The full Age of Wonders 4: Expansion Pass 2 is priced at $49.99/£41.99/€49.99.
Expansion Pass 2 Roadmap (2024-2025)
1. Herald of Glory (Released on October 1, 2024):
The Herald of Glory DLC brings new items and a unique society trait, giving players more power over the Astral Sea. This DLC is included in the Expansion Pass and is available for purchase now.
2. Ways of War (Releasing on November 5, 2024)
This DLC challenges players to think differently about battles with the introduction of the Oathsworn Culture and various new events, like Intrigue Events, that will test the strength of your empire. The Ways of War DLC can be purchased separately for $14.99/£12.79/€14.99, or it’s included in the Expansion Pass.
1. Oathsworn Culture:
- This new culture is built around strong warrior codes. Players can choose between:
- The Oath of Righteousness (focused on destroying evil)
- The Oath of Strife (fighting only strong opponents)
- The Oath of Harmony (avoiding war where possible)
2. Intrigue Events:
These events create crises in your empire, such as betrayals and assassinations.
3. New Forms:
You can now lead empires of Simians and Ogrekin.
4. New Tomes:
Four times—Discipline, Shades, Calamity, and Prosperity—bring new units and spells that strengthen your empire.
Plus, new mounts, music, ancient creature lines, realm templates, and an interface skin are also included.

3. Giant Kings (Coming in Q2 2025):
In this expansion, you’ll bring back the ancient Elder Giants to their former glory. Players can explore new regions, discover hidden treasures, and master forgotten crystal magic. The Giant Kings DLC will be available for $19.99/£16.99/€19.99.
4. Archon Prophecy (Coming in Q3 2025):
The final expansion introduces a new culture and prophecy events. In this epic battle, players will fight against the corruption of Urrath and consult oracles to uncover hidden prophecies. The Archon Prophecy DLC will be available for $19.99/£16.99/€19.99.
