We have our first Upper Bracket finalists after just two days of competition in the BLAST Fall Groups 2024. Though they are now leading Groups A and B, Spirit and Vitality are not the only ones who have taken to the server in Copenhagen.

Upper Bracket Finals are reached by Spirit and Vitality
Spirit and Vitality are the first Upper Bracket finalists for Groups A and B of the BLAST Fall Groups 2024. Spirit should be grateful that they faced a Heroic team that was still playing, with coach sAw filling in for degster, who is currently having visa problems for the duration of the tournament.
With Astralis as their opponent in the tournament’s second game, Vitality had a more difficult assignment. Nevertheless, they won 2:0, easily dispatching the Danes despite a late scare.
Donk was the one who portrayed the lead in Spirit. We realize it’s shocking. Donk was back in Copenhagen at his best following a concerning EWC 2024, and he managed to secure a few highlight clips in this series with a strong 37:25 score.
On the Vitality front, flameZ and apEX both excelled in eliminating Astralis. Both teams had a fantastic day, and it seems likely that they will both advance to the Fall Final in their upcoming games.

Falcons and Complexity Cling On
The Falcons and Complexity are two rosters that are in dire need of a current break. It was looking bleak for both teams after the first day’s loss.
Both, though, recovered magnificently, with Complexity defeating OG and the Falcons winning against GamerLegion. Falcons were able to sweep GL 2:1, but Complexity needed to win all three maps in order to win.
Complexity looked on EliGE, as always, to pull them out of the muck. He’s gotten used to this job by now, and he’s earned them at least one more Copenhagen match with his efforts.
Falcons witnessed excellent play from all of the players, but Maden and SunPayus deserve special recognition for their efforts. Even though they are currently among the most hated players on the scene, these two came to the BLAST Fall Groups 2024 to support the Falcons.
These teams now have two rematches. The matchups are Complexity vs. Heroic and Falcons vs. Astralis, and both teams will have to play at their peak to make up for their losses to these teams on opening day.

OG and GamerLegion sent packing early
Today saw the first two teams eliminated from the competition, GamerLegion and OG, as we had projected in our BLAST Fall Groups 2024 power rankings.
This was only a few tournaments too early for GamerLegion. They still have a lot of developing to do as a team, but they have tremendous untapped potential. With Thomas filling in as a stand-in IGL, OG were dealt a rough hand and were unlikely to perform any better.
Having said that, there are some advantages for both of these teams from the BLAST Fall Groups 2024. On the first day, GamerLegion pushed Vitality to the limit, and they were unfortunate to lose.
It will be fascinating to see whether they bring Thomas on long-term because he was a reliable IGL for OG.
GL and OG will compete in the BLAST Fall Showdown next month, despite their elimination from the Fall Groups. They will have one more chance to qualify there for September’s Fall Final 2024.
