The MongolZ have proven themselves to be Asia’s top CS:GOL squad over the past few months. However, The MongolZ were unable to qualify for the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 following a subpar showing in a regional qualifier.
The Mongolz Crash out In Groups
Prior to the player break, the MongolZ’s victory at YaLLa Compass 2024 attracted attention. They were viewed as a serious contender in the Tier 1 scene, a group prepared to advance and frequently make it to the playoffs of prestigious competitions.
After missing out on qualifying for the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024, they will, at the very least, not be participating in any of BLAST’s CS2 competitions during the second half of the year.
In fact, their qualification got off to a great start as they defeated Steel Helmet in the first round. But because of the harsh best-of-one Groups structure, they were only one match away from elimination after losing to Rare Atom.

Fortunately for The MongolZ, the team should still be very busy in the second half of 2024. Their ESL World Ranking should be high enough to guarantee them a spot at IEM Rio 2024, and they have already secured a spot at IEM Cologne 2024.
When it comes to the Perfect World Shanghai Major in 2024, they would still be overwhelming favorites to qualify from the Asia RMR despite this loss to CatEvil.
