After eight weeks of competition over 20 various tournaments, the Esports World Cup 2024 has finally begun. A huge sum of money is at risk, with a $60 million prize pool up for grabs.
It’s not all up for grabs, though. Our goal is to clarify how the top esports teams worldwide will be honored in Riyadh upon winning the Esports World Cup 2024, which also features a special key, awards, and totem system that appear intricate at first appearance.
An Explaination of EWC Club Championship
The mechanism to recognize the overall champions of the event is through the EWC Club Championship. A higher result will earn more points for the top eight teams in each tournament, which will add up to the total for the EWC Club Championship.
The important thing to remember is that every team is equal in these points regardless of the outcome of the game.
The top team will receive the majority of the $20 million prize pool, or $7 million, out of the 16 teams who finish in the top 16. But in order to be named the overall winner of the Esports World Cup 2024, the team that tops the EWC Club Championship must win at least one individual competition.

Keys, Trophies, and The Totem Elucidated for The 2024 Sports World Cup
The tricky part is about to begin (kind of). A customised key with an inner key and an outer frame will be sent to each team competing in the Esports World Cup 2024. Teams receive an individual game trophy—which perfectly fits their inner key—after winning each competition.
A totem displaying all of the champions of the Esports World Cup 2024 will have the outer frame mounted on it and displayed in Riyadh.

If a team loses, their keys will be smashed and the pieces will be visible to everyone within the totem, where they will be covered with resin. Still, things don’t stop there.
Every tournament winner gets to pick three opponents, taking the leftover keys to have their winner’s trophy placed inside. In order to ensure that nobody leaves empty-handed, losers will get a personalized memento that represents their finishing place.
