Deer Thoughts: Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima came out a little over a week ago. We’ve been enjoying our time with it but we wanted to know what YOU thought of it. Below are some of our listener’s thoughts on the game.

I know there will he other PS4 games, but so far this seems like a great swan song for the PS4. Great story so far, gorgeous visuals and environments (I find myself just wondering around sometimes!) and minimal screen info makes it quite immersive. Combat is, if average, solid!

Only played a few hours, but so far:
Environment is gorgeous.
Combat flows nicely most of the time.
Quest tracker & stand off mechanic are really cool.
Don't like:
Combat can be punishing if you make mistakes.
Healing is tied to dealing damage.
Those archers are cheaters. 😆

Didn't really think I'd like it at first because I was a little worn out on open world games for quite some time. Started it up and now I have an IV bag of Ghost of Tsushima running straight into my arm at all times. Can't put it down! It's beautiful and immensely fun as well!

Ghost of Tsushima Thoughts:

– Best photo mode ever
– Only game I’d willing play in Black & White
– Hard mode has the perfect amount of challenge vs gameplay
– Came out on a month after The Last of Us Pt. II and is helping me get over it
– In short: 2020 does NOT deserve this game!
