We’ve explored the land of Hyrule, fought many a Lynel, survived Eventide Island and now it’s time to discuss the modern masterpiece that is Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild! The game is so massive we brought in Deer Listener Supreme/Guest of Honor, Jonathan Steele! Don’t let the fact he hasn’t played Link to the Past get in the way of the great discussion about the game, it’s themes, and fascinating development history! As always, if you’re playing through the game and don’t want it spoiled, we’ll warn you before we go into spoiler territory.

Would this game be ok for my almost 13 year old son? I have no clue about this game and don’t want to get a game that is witchcraft. Thanks, any input would be appreciated!
I bought a Nintendo Switch.
Thanks,

Hey Jana!
Totally understand your desire. Breath of the Wild does feature enemies that use magic (shooting fire/ice/etc). Not sure if you had a chance to listen to our episode yet (you can do so by clicking on the appropriate links within the post) but I will give you a few resources that we have used in the past:
